Dr. Mücahit YILMAZ
Mücahit YILMAZ currently an associate professor at the Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Science. He is also affiliated with the graduate program Nanoscience and Nanoengineering at the Institute of Natural Sciences of the same university.
Having a research experience on high temperature superconductors during his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Middle East Technical University (METU) Center for Solar Energy Research and Application (GÜNAM) for nearly two years. During this time he studied silicon nanocrystal thin films. Later, he expanded his field of study to two-dimensional materials, thin films, and solar cells. Especially two dimensional materials (graphene and TMDC) and metal-oxide thin films are the focus of his current study. He has considerable experience in high-quality graphene fabrication and transfer. He succeeded to fabricate homogeneous large scale TMDC films by forming metal-oxide layer in reactive magnetron sputter system and then chalcogenization process. In addition, He has experience in the fabrication and characterization of different thin films such as MoS2, WS2, WSe2, MoO3, WO3, CdS, CdTe, SnO2, ZnO, TiO2, ZrO2, SiO2, Si3N4, AlN, TaN, Cu3N and more.
He has more than 20 publications on different topics, some of which have been published in high impact journals. He has also completed nearly 20 projects in which he worked as principal investigator and researcher. He is an expert in high vacuum systems, CVD, PVD (magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation) systems and can perform advanced analysis in Raman spectroscopy and XRD/GIXRD, FPP, UV-Vis, optical profilometer techniques.

Post Doctoral Researcher
Dr. Faranak SADEGH
Faranak Sadegh is currently a postdoctoral researcher with a focus on a deep understanding of the fundamental properties of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) at Necmettin Erbakan University, Konya, Turkiye. She tries to improve several aspects of the PSCs including the electron/hole selective contacts, the perovskite layer as well as using passivation agents in regard to improving the performance and stability of the devices. She pursued her Ph.D. in area of thin films and PSCs at University of Isfahan, Iran. She was chosen as the best researcher in the Department of Chemistry, University of Isfahan in 2022. She joined to Prof. Anders Hagfeldt's research group at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, as a Ph.D. visiting student from 2018-2019. Hitherto, the results of her works and collaborations have been published in the form of papers in some prestigious high impact journals.
